1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the BrewSide mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

BrewSide is a mobile application designed to help specialty coffee enthusiasts track their coffee bean inventory, follow guided brewing timers, maintain brewing logs, and utilize AI-powered features for tasting notes and troubleshooting.

3. User Account and Registration

To access certain features of the App, you must create an account through Supabase authentication. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. User Data and Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to:

• Storage of your coffee bean inventory, brewing logs, and preferences in our Supabase database
• Processing of your input data through AI services (OpenAI) for generating tasting notes and troubleshooting assistance
• Use of device camera for OCR (Optical Character Recognition) when using the Bag Scanner feature
• Analytics and app performance monitoring to improve our services

5. AI-Powered Features

The App includes AI-powered features (Sommelier, Fix My Brew) that use generative AI technology. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only
• Tasting notes and brewing suggestions may not always be accurate or suitable for your specific situation
• You use AI-generated recommendations at your own discretion and risk
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by BrewSide and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (brew logs, notes, ratings). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems to access the App without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks

8. Subscription and Payment

Some features of the App may require a paid subscription. If you choose to purchase a subscription:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies
• We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with advance notice

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BREWSIDE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the "Delete Account" feature or by visiting our account deletion page.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which BrewSide operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
